AREA SALES MANAGER - FOOD PACKAGING


COVERING - SOUTH EAST UPTO MIDLANDS

SALARY - COMPETITIVE AND BASED ON EXPERIENCE + Uncapped Commission (15% of profit on all sales) + Car/ Allowance + Pension + Private Medical

Our client is a privately owned and profitable packaging company supplying and converting OPP, laminates, and specialist films with an enviable reputation for customer service, innovation and product quality.

The role will involve selling the full product range of plain and printed flexible packaging films and converted packaging products Covering the South East up to Midlands. The position involves business development along with some account management.

Core market is food in all its many forms (bakery, confectionery, snacks, hotfill, long life etc), working with some of the UK's largest food groups, retailers, and a variety of SME's.


There will also be extensive customer facing support provided by the internal customer support, marketing and technical teams wherever required, both for new product development, sales development and problem solving. This role will involve working closely with the internal teams and giving direction where required.


Requirements / The Role:

  • Attitude: A positive mindset and an enthusiasm to offer the best possible service to customers whilst maintaining profitability will go a long way to ensure you earn a substantial salary!
  • Market Experience: A proven track record of sales into large food groups in any of the above-mentioned markets is of huge benefit, or into food markets in general.
  • Product Knowledge: Full training can be offered, although any technical understanding of plain or printed films, laminates or converted flexible packaging will be advantageous.
  • Sales Reporting: Prepare and submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and territory analyses, maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities in the CRM system.
