They are currently looking to recruit for a dedicated Assistant Technical Manager to join their dynamic team. The candidate will play a vital role in supporting the Operations Manager with quality-related investigations and incidents while assisting the Compliance Officer in ensuring adherence to BRC standards. This is a hands-on role that combines technical expertise, compliance oversight, and supplier collaboration to maintain the company's high standards and drive innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance to the factory and addressing issues and queries promptly.
  • Oversee and document all factory trials, including customer-specific, supplier-led developments, and process improvement initiatives, ensuring proper management within the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Maintain and update data sheets, Statements of Compliance (SoCs), and customer specifications, ensuring information from suppliers is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Support the business in meeting Food Contact regulations and maintaining full compliance across operations.
  • Assist the Operations Manager with quality investigations and incident resolution.
  • Work closely with the Compliance Officer to manage and uphold BRC standards throughout the organisation.
  • Utilise and maintain laboratory equipment to analyse competitor materials and refine internal technical specifications.
  • Regularly liaise with new and existing suppliers to stay informed on product innovations and developments relevant to customers and processes.
