BDM - Fulfilment / E-Commerce

Job Description




£Open + OTE + Commission + Car Allowance

Our client is a successful well-established company specialising in fulfilment and mail. Their fulfilment services include pick, pack and dispatch services to online sellers and data processing, inkjet and laser printing, enclosing, polywrapping, folding and envelope supply.

They are currently looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to join their team.


  • Identifying new business opportunities
  • Cold calling outbound leads via phone and email
  • Responsible for generation of your own leads and booking of appointments
  • Attending of appointments daily
  • Develop and delivering sales presentations
  • Managing customer expectations
  • Account Management - delivering an exceptional service always
  • Deliver targeted amount of customer visits following robust business plan and prioritisation process
  • Working towards and exceeding targets
  • Quotations, samples, information follow-up and reporting
  • Product development input
  • Attending industry events as required

The Individual:

  • Must have Ecommerce / Fulfilment experience in a Business Development / field-based role
  • Must have existing leads / prospects who they could bring across within 6 months
  • Proven track record of closing sales
  • The ability to understand and engage all key stakeholders in bids
  • Confident, articulate, works well under pressure
  • A high level of negotiating, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter, who works using their own initiative with minimum supervision
  • As the role will be field-based - must have excellent organisation skills and be able to manage workload etc
  • Communication with line manager will be key, in terms of providing weekly updates and seeking advice / guidance as necessary
  • Prior use of Salesforce would be beneficial (but not essential)
  • Outstanding negotiation skills with the ability to resolve issues and address complaints
  • Knowledge of sales methodology
  • Microsoft office skills
  • Ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks at any given time
  • Detail oriented
  • Clean driving licence
