BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

TERRITORY: EAST MIDLANDS - NOTTINGHAM / DERBY DOWN TO NORTHANTS AND ALSO STAFFORDSHIRE AND BIRMINGHAM

ROLE IS A MIX OF EXTERNAL / OFFICE BASED WITH FLEXIBILITY

SALARY GUIDE: £40-45K (Depending on Experience) + Bonus + Car Allowance + Pension

Our client is a market leading, independent packaging distributor based in the Midlands; they supply a wide range of clients with a comprehensive range of Corrugated Packaging (Conventional, Die Cuts, SRP, Heavy Duty / Transit Packaging) and a full range of Packaging Consumables; they also offer a stock hold facility

Due to expansion and growth is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager from a Corrugated Packaging or Packaging Consumables background to target new business and manage an existing portfolio of accounts within the East Midlands. The role will focus on new business by winning new accounts.

Our client is not a highly targeting business, they are realistic on expectations in terms of new business expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • External sales of the company's full product range including new business sales lead generation, customer liaison and negotiation and all other functions in the ordinary course of business
  • Responsible for managing and developing an existing territory / portfolio of customers
  • Responsible for targeting new customers and developing relationships with new accounts
  • You should have a proven track record of key account management, as well as possessing a natural flair for new business development
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills are essential as is a proven background in sales or sales management
  • You will demonstrate the ability to work under your own initiative as well as part of a team
