There's a thing that exists in the world of Recruitment called the War for Talent.
And the roles that often are the focus of this "War" are in Sales and Business Development.
It's not a war, but it does indicate that business' desire to recruit talented people is outstripping supply.
It's always been thus, we just have a new way of describing a changing marketplace with a skills shortage. Many of the skills in short supply are different to what businesses needed 20 or even 10 years ago, but one remains the same...
Motivated, knowledgeable and talented Sales people are hard to find and recruit.
If you're reading this, I'm sure you're saying "tell me something I don't know".
Which is why this isn't a conventional Advert.
I have a requirement for a Digital Business Development Manager, based in London, within the corporate and private sector, small and large format digital print.
Why this could be interesting for you, is because of the way the opportunities are structured.
You'll be going in warm. With a huge number of leads and client data to get stuck into.
You'll have a strong leader with clear goals and objectives, who is building a small, core business development team to drive growth on a very strong order book.
The internal teams are there to deliver what you sell, helping you focus on what you're good at and enjoy the most.
The production capabilities in small and large format digital are superb; specialising in fast-paced, time critical, quality print.
You'll be a pro-active, professional sales person. Experienced working with clients on the phone and face-to-face. You'll be happiest opening doors and motivated by creating opportunities.
In return, you'll be part of the new growth of the business, and be rewarded fairly for that. You'll be a figurehead for the internal teams, and a vindication of a structured and well-planned Group business development strategy.
Like I said, it's not a war out there, but if you're competing, and "going into battle" against some very capable print businesses, if it were me, I'd be looking for an edge with the right equipment, strategy and above all people to set yourself apart.
A bit like this description.
Drop me a line if you'd like to find out more.
