Our client is a well-established, multi-sited independent manufacturer of quality, bespoke corrugated packaging: die cuts, SRP and point of sale for Food (BRC Accredited), Cosmetics, FMCG, Retail and online retail markets etc.

Due to expansion of the sales team, they are currently looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to create new business opportunities in an agreed territory within the South East. Our client is looking for someone who can be with the business long term, there will be career development opportunities for this candidate.

Please note my client will also consider an internal sales candidate looking to progress into an external sales role

Responsibilities / Requirements:

  • Creates own leads in accordance with sales strategy
  • Cold calling, face to face sales, developing new business
  • Achieve Sales targets
  • Generate new business with new / existing customers
  • Maintaining relationship with existing customers - product development
  • Providing excellent customer service
  • Resolve serious customer credit/quality issues
  • Follow up all enquiries
  • Ensure Credit checks are conducted / approved on new business.
  • Where necessary support accounts department in debt chasing on overdue customer accounts
  • Reporting to the Sales Manager
