DESIGN SUPPORT / DESIGNER

Salary: Up to £29K - however flexibility for the right candidate + 20 days holiday + stats + Xmas Closedown

Hours of working: 8.30 - 5.00 Mon-Thurs / 8.30 - 2.00 Fri

Our client is a well-respected Sheet Plant that specialise in the food, beverage and industrial markets. They sell the complete range of corrugated products from standard 0201's to specialist die cuts. Our client also has in-house Design facilities and an excellent reputation in the industry.

They are currently looking to recruit a candidate to work in a Design Support / Design Role, the candidate will be using Adobe Creative and also Kasemake

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • To assist in both technical and graphic design of all new and existing products
  • To design with efficiency and effectiveness in mind
  • To deliver excellent customer service
  • Design and produce samples
  • Artwork design and approvals
  • Stereo and Forme ordering/quotes
  • Produce traces for production team
  • Colour matching and swatch requests
  • Soak testing and board analysis
  • Optimise design for production
  • Review & improve existing structural design for production efficiency & customer benefit
  • Utilise board supplier's laboratory & support in design
  • FSC approvals
  • Support customer specific projects through from start to finish for sales team
  • Support customer design visits (customer site or at the company)
  • Manage workload effectively with input and support from other design team members
  • Share answering incoming phone calls when appropriate
  • Share opening the post and booking in visitors
  • Go the extra mile to exceed customer expectations
  • Aim for continual improvement in processes & procedures
