DIGITAL LABELLING BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Salary: Competitive + Car Allowance + Pension + 20 Days Holiday (rising to 25 days in year 2) + Bank Holidays

Our client, an International Group specialising in high-quality reel-fed, self-adhesive digital labels, serves both Blue Chip end-users and the Packer/Filler markets. As one of the leading providers of digital labels in the UK, they are experiencing significant growth and increased demand for innovative digital print and eye catching branding solutions.

To support this growth and their future investment and expansion plans, they are seeking a Business Development Manager. This role offers the opportunity to sell cutting-edge, sustainable digital packaging solutions, providing efficiency to customers with a five-day lead time.

Team Collaboration:

  • You will work closely with an outstanding Customer Service team that supports the Business Development team and customers throughout the sales process.
  • Additionally, you will benefit from the Marketing team, who create innovative digital and physical sales tools, enhancing the sales process.
  • These tools include AR talking labels, Metaverse packaging experiences, and immersive 3D packaging assets.

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting: To the Head of Sales and Business Development.
  • Sales & Revenue: Exceed sales and revenue targets through acquiring new business in target markets.
  • Relationship Management: Build and manage relationships with new accounts and existing customer accounts in your territory to foster commercial growth.
  • Escalation Point: Serve as the point of escalation for major commercial or operational issues.
  • KPIs: Deliver agreed Key Performance Indicators and objectives as defined by the company strategy and tactical activity plans.
  • Strategic Relationships: Develop strategic relationships with key individuals within current and target customer bases.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Work with the Estimating and Customer Service teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Sales Planning: Prepare sales plans, pipelines, targets, CRM, and KPI reporting.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Extensive experience in selling to brands, contract packers, and retailers with a well-established personal network in target markets.
  • Proven solution sales skills and a strong track record.
  • Knowledge of the packaging and label industry supply chain.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills, and a people-oriented approach.
  • Highly organised, proactive, with strong planning and time management skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with both external and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365/Office Packages, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Confident in using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.
  • Full driving license.
