EVENT & EXHIBITIONS PRODUCTION MANAGER

KENT

Up to £38K (Depending on Experience) + Overtime at Time ½ + Pension + Death in Service + 25 Days Holiday + 8 Bank Holidays

Our client is a leading large format graphics and display Company based in Kent. They

are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced hands on, skilled Production Manager to join their ever-expanding team and workload to work in their Events and Exhibition build team, producing large scale projects and builds for various client sectors including commercial interiors, high street retailers, exhibitions and events, experiential events, roadshows, conferences and exhibitions.

The right candidate will work closely with, project managers, operations manager, other skilled carpenters, project managers and operations teams to ensure all projects and live build Installations are delivered and all requirements and needs of the client are met and exceeded.

Responsibilities:

  • Attending daily production meetings.
  • Working with project managers to create build schedules and develop build and event ideas.
  • Updating internal MIS system with workloads and tasks for the wider team to ensure projects deliver on time. Training provided.
  • Practicable build, construction and site project management experience.
  • Ability to liaise with clients as well as co-ordinate various tradesmen onsite.
  • Event and Exhibition build, Festivals, Roadshows and management experience.
  • Hardworking, reliable ability to work as part of a team and take instruction or lead a team.
  • Creation of build drawings for projects that can be shared with the wider team for build purposes.
  • Working knowledge of drawings and planning processes within a busy production environment.

Requirements:

  • Excellent timekeeping and good communication skills.
  • Comfortable with manual lifting and working at heights.
  • CAD understanding ideally preferred.
  • Knowledge of using Octanorm and event build systems.
  • Carpentry/joinery skills and experience.
  • Knowledge of electrical LED lighting systems and AV would be beneficial.
  • Excellent ability to project manage, problem solve, work to deadlines with fantastic organisation skills.
  • Able to multi-task and prioritise, you will be working across a number of activities with tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer literate with knowledge of MS Office suite.
  • Ability to liaise with clients as well as co-ordinate various tradesmen onsite.
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to work to multiple deadlines.
  • Health and Safety trained to delivery during and post installation on client's sites - CSCS and IPAF desirable.
  • Clean driving licence - Essential.
  • Fork lift licence - desirable.

Hours:

  • Shift pattern is based on a weekly rotating pattern early or late (early starts at around 07:00, and lates start at 13:30pm which alternate this each week, std hours are a 7.5 hr day.)
  • Flexible contract where hours flex up and down depending on the time of the year to fit with demand levels, meaning that in the summer the 7.5hrs moves to a max of 8.5 hrs per day but then drops to minimum 6 hr days in the winter. Pay level is always based on 7.5 hrs a day.
