FINISHER (Night Shift) - POS / DISPLAY

LONDON

Salary: £13.50 Per Hour + 1/3 on top for night shift (£18ph) + Overtime (Time ½)

Hours: 35 Hour Week (Time ½ for anything over)
Monday - Wednesday / 9pm To 6am
Thursday - 9pm To 5am

Our client specialises in the design and production of Point of Sale, Exhibition Displays and Outdoor Advertising. They're looking to recruit a Finishing Machine Operator to produce jobs for customers according to the finishing job specifications, by programming, setting up, operating, adjusting, and maintaining the finishing machines, ensuring that they function optimally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Programme and set up the finishing machine as per specification
  • Operate the finishing machines
  • Ensure that finished jobs match job sheets, before passing on to despatch
  • Liaise with Managers to ensure finishing schedules are met
  • Work with the Manager to ensure that attendance is managed - holidays, absence and sickness
  • Liaise with the Manager to ensure training and development needs are identified and met
  • Work consistently to ensure their own individual performance targets are achieved
  • Actively participate in the regular communication of important and relevant information about the company, the department and the job
  • Be aware of the risk of accident or injury related to the task, equipment or environment
  • Ensure their work is in adherence to the work process/method that minimises any of the identified risks
  • Ensure that the personal protective equipment designated for operation of the process is worn, and report to Managers any non-compliance among other workers, contractors or visitors
  • Keep work areas clean and tidy
  • Ensure that materials and consumables are used, handled and disposed of correctly, including labelling and wrapping up used materials
  • Ensure that waste is segregated correctly in line with environmental procedures
  • Minimise the risk of spills and contamination, and in case of occurrence report and deal with the situation appropriately, cleaning up the spill
  • Always work to ensure that the quality standards specified by the Company are met
  • Ensure that effective corrective actions are taken in the case of non-conformance of product or process and report any such issues to Managers
  • Always carry out work in accordance with relevant standard ops and/or works instructions
  • Always maintain the disciplines of workflow and logging stock movements appropriately
  • In their workplace to constantly maintain and improve 5S/visual standards
  • Always complete planned and preventative maintenance protocols in line with the defined frequencies
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of safety, quality, productivity and environmental performance
