INTERNAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE - PACKAGING OR MANUFACTURING BACKGROUND

£23-24K DOE + Incentives for Hitting Activity Targets + Pension

Our client are a high quality manufacturer of Polythene Packaging. They are a BRC AA Food Approved accredited business, supplying both trade convertors and end users throughout the country. The company are currently looking to recruit an Internal Sales Representative to focus on outbound calls, initially from lists of lapsed customers / prospective users from their database, later moving on to sourcing own leads as the role develops. The principal focus of the role is to increase sales from current customers and elicit sales from prospective customers/leads

Some experience of making sales calls would be preferred, however the role will likely develop to incorporate managing the new accounts that the candidate brings in.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Contact potential customers to elicit new enquiries
  • Maximise revenue and profit for new and existing customers
  • Providing quotations
  • Recording all enquiries, discussions etc. on ACT database throughout Sales process
  • Following up quotations to convert to order, and understanding as clearly as possible the reasons for a customers' purchase or non-purchase and recording on ACT
  • Keeping in touch with current and previous customers, checking when another requirement may arise.
  • Handle customer complaints, advise appropriate solutions keep lines of communication open throughout to ensure speedy resolution
  • Learning about products and being able to explain to and discuss these with customers
  • Asking questions to understand customer requirements and close the sale resulting in placement of an order
  • Foster strong relationships with both external sales and internal functions to ensure that customer and company interests are equally served
  • Work with manufacturing department and third-party logistics providers to ensure customers' expectations are met on time in full
  • Cover some sales support/administrative duties during busy periods when required

Holiday Entitlement: Initially 20 days per annum, increasing with length service, this is currently under review

Work Hours: 8:30am to 5:00am Monday to Thursday & Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm
