LARGE FORMAT PRINTER - POS AND FSDU'S

NOTTINGHAMSHIRE

Salary: Up to £16.50, depending on experience + 33 days including bank holidays + Pension, Bonus, Death in Service

Hours: Shift 1: 6:00AM - 2:00PM, Monday to Thursday; 6:00AM - 6:00PM on Friday
Shift 2: 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Monday to Thursday

Overtime: Time ¼ for the first ten hours, Time ½ thereafter, Double Time on Sundays and Bank Holidays

Our client is a long-established leading producer of 3D POS and FSDU's, serving a variety of blue-chip clients.

They are seeking an experienced Large Format Printer to join their production team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating large-format digital printers, specifically HP11000 or Inca X3 machines. This is a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate large format printers (preferably HP11000, but knowledge of a similar press such as Inca X3 would also be beneficial) to produce high-quality displays
  • Monitor print production and ensure output meets company standards
  • Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting on printers to ensure smooth operation
  • Prepare print files and adjust machine settings for optimal performance
  • Collaborate with other departments to meet production targets and deadlines
  • Manage stock levels of materials and report any shortages
  • Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in large format printing, ideally with HP11000, Inca X3 or similar machines
  • Strong technical skills and the ability to troubleshoot printer issues
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently
  • Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Flexibility to work overtime as required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with RIP software and pre-press file preparation
  • Knowledge of various print substrates and materials
