MULTI SKILLED MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

EAST ANGLIA

Salary Starting at £40K + Production Bonus Scheme + Pension

Hours of Work: 2 Shift Patterns
Week 1: Monday to Friday - 6am till 2pm
Week 2: Monday to Thursday - 2pm till 10.30pm / Friday 2pm till 8pm

Our client is a leading UK manufacturer of corrugated cardboard packaging, serving a wide range of markets throughout the UK with sustainable, high-quality products. They offer bespoke packaging solutions, including e-commerce and retail-ready packaging.

They are currently recruiting for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join the company to work alongside the Machine Operators and Maintenance Team. You will be ensuring that all the company's assets are kept in top condition so that they can run first class machines, producing high quality packaging effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and repairs to machinery with a view to minimising "downtime" and keeping "uptime" to a maximum
  • This is a "hands on" position in which you will be assisting and taking part in repairs and preventative maintenance on a regular basis
  • Fitting and assembly skills including the use of hand tools and marking out
  • Welding, fabrication, brazing, soldering and other jointing processes
  • Sheet metalwork including shearing, folding etc
  • On occasions there will be a need to carry our more reactive maintenance, attending to break downs and other unplanned stoppages
  • Deal with anything related to building maintenance
  • Under instruction from the maintenance manager and the facilities director you will be required to communicate with machine operators, fit parts, fault find and offer solutions to problems whilst helping to ensure the companies preventative Maintenance schedule is adhered to
  • Maintain good housekeeping procedures
  • Follow all Health and Safety guidelines and policies
  • Follow environmental and quality awareness in accordance with BRC/ISO accreditations
  • Electric Maintenance Engineer qualification required
  • Electrical Installations (18th Edition) qualification will be an advantage
  • Comprising networked PC systems, and 3 phase power supplies
  • Within this role, during busy periods you may be required to work 5 hours on a Saturday morning every 5 weeks
