Our client is a specialist timber packaging manufacturer specialising in supplying their clients with Timber Pallets and Cases. The company has built its reputation on total commitment to quality of product and reliability of service.

Our client manufactures their products, supplying a wide range of standard and bespoke pallets for the DIY, Packaging, Construction, food, pharmaceutical and manufacturing industries across the UK and Europe.

Our client is looking for a New Business Development Manager to join their team to help push the business even further. Candidates can be based anywhere in the UK either covering Nationally or a territory can be refined around a candidates location.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prospect for potential new customers and turn this into increased business.
  • Cold call as appropriate within your market or geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
  • Meet potential customers by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
  • Identify potential customers, and the decision makers within the customer organisation.
  • Research and build relationships with new customers.
  • Plan approaches and pitches with key individuals within the company.
  • Develop proposals that speaks to the customer's needs, concerns, and objectives.
  • Participate in pricing the solution/service.
  • Handle objections by clarifying, emphasising agreements, and working through differences to a positive conclusion.
  • Identify sales leads and communicate potential new product developments.
  • Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships.
  • Work with internal colleagues to meet customer needs.
  • Arrange and participate in internal and external customer debriefs.
