Office Based - Can be Full Time Hours over Monday - Thursday or Monday to Friday with Friday Working from Home

Our client is a long-established manufacturer and supplier of printed folded cartons for the food sector worldwide. They have been around for over 80 years, so you can be sure that you are joining a strong time severed.

They are currently looking to recruit an Operations Administrator to join the team. You will be working with cross-functional teams to provide production and operations administration focussed on production job preparation and production scheduling.

You will be working with the Production Management Team, Shopfloor Management Team, Finance Team, Internal Sales Team, Procurement Team and Logistics Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing all planned orders to meet the production schedule
  • Supporting managing/operating the automated (Printflow) production scheduling system
  • Monitoring shopfloor performance through the scheduling system as well as by direct interaction with the shopfloor
  • Communicating production status and issue updates to management, Internal Sales teams and the Logistic team as required
  • Carrying out ADHOC purchasing of general (non-raw material) items
  • Generating and maintaining all operations administration, systems and records to ensure efficiency, accuracy and compliance in line with Company standards
  • Recommending improvements to maintain operations integrity, consistency and quality
  • Improving office workflow on continuous basis
  • Providing project support
  • ADHOC duties as required


  • Recent, relevant and proven successful administrative work experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Confident analytical thinking, to identify issues, trace them through and resolve
  • Good maths skills and the ability to spot numerical errors
  • Experience with inventory management, database, ERP or similar software
  • Confident use of MS Office suite
  • Ability to organise flexibly and collaboratively to drive successful outcomes for conflicting priorities, maintaining resilient, right-first-time, attention to detail, including time and project management disciplines
  • Demonstrable data-led decision making, with ability to interpret and analyse data for informed reporting
  • Excellent and positive interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to maintain personal effectiveness through proactivity, efficiency and self-management, taking ownership through own sense of drive, high standards and continuous improvement
