Pre Make Ready Operator - Cut and Crease

LOCATION; Nottingham

SALARY; UP TO £35,000 (Depending on experience)

3 x 12hours shifts / week

Company: Packaging Graphics company in the spirits, healthcare, confectionery, beauty, media, and consumer brands industry. Established in 2005, work circa 7000 employees and has presence globally in three continents.

Overview; To support the Cut Crease department; preparing tooling and storing of all the components within the PMR department.


Role:

  • Monitor the Planning System Application to organise the tooling for the Cut Crease machines
  • Prepare the tooling for the Cut Crease machine
  • Make up stripping pin frames
  • Keep the die location and data base up to date
  • Remove tooling from the machine chase changer
  • Lock next set of tooling into chase changer and prepare stripper/blanker
  • Replace tooling into the storage rack
  • Order replacement tooling via Nottingham CAD
  • File away new tooling on arrival
  • Communicate any die errors to the manager
  • General Housekeeping of the department
  • Assist the Cut Crease Operators with their role where necessary

Requirements:

  • Ability to work flexibly as part of a team
  • Ability to maintain hygiene and procedural standards required in our industry
  • Previous experience of working with machines (ideally in a printing, pharmaceuticals or food environment)
  • Quality conscious
  • A good working knowledge of a Cut Crease environment
  • Experienced in Die cutting and Die making processes
  • Sound Organisation and Communication skills
  • Must be IT competent
  • The ability to follow instructions and follows standard working practices
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines and work under pressure
  • Must have Good Time Keeping
