PRE-PRESS TECHNICIAN/ARTWORKER - LARGE FORMAT

MANCHESTER

Hours: Triple Shift Pattern, 6am to 2pm, 9am to 5pm, 2pm to 10pm

Our client, a well-established large format print company based in Manchester is currently seeking an experienced Prepress Technician / Artworker to join the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process artwork files for print, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Perform pre-flighting, troubleshooting and adjusting files as needed.
  • Manage colour correction, image retouching and file conversions.
  • Collaborate with designers and clients to ensure artwork meets print specifications.
  • Maintain an organised workflow and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Review and proof all materials before production to catch any potential errors.
  • Operate prepress software and equipment, including Adobe Creative Suite and understand RIP software.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and technologies to ensure best practices are followed.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a Prepress or Artworker role, preferably in a large format bespoke print environment.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and other relevant software like Pitstop.
  • Strong understanding of print production processes, including dye-sub, digital, and large format.
  • Excellent eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Knowledge of colour theory, typography, and layout principles.
  • Experience with file preparation for different printing processes and bespoke finishing techniques.
