They are now looking to recruit a Print Office Administrator to join their team, the chosen will be responsible for all areas of print office administration, duties include processing artwork, preparing quotations, raising purchase orders, plate management, liaising with customers etc, as well as assisting the Print Manager.

Main Job Responsibilities

  • Liasing with internal sales team and design houses to ensure new designs are processed in a timely manner which meets the requirements of their customers and are suitable for their flexographic printing process.
  • Raise and process purchase orders which includes providing printing plate specifications to suppliers.
  • Perform pre-production check tasks on all new designs and printing plates and prepare any pre-press folders, documents and production instructions.
  • Maintain printing plate library which includes updating plate sets and reordering of replacement plates.
  • Along with Print Manager assist the advancement of print department training.
  • Co-ordinate weekly training with Print Manager and Shift Leaders.
  • Liaise with suppliers on new and upcoming products which be beneficial for the print department.
  • Logging internal NCRs and implement solutions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Review samples to ensure high print standards are obtained whilst liaising with the Quality Manager on any quality issues.
  • Controlling and monitoring print supplies and stock of consumables, including raising replenishment purchase orders.
  • Assist the Print Manager in the daily running of the printing department whilst being involved in continuous improvement projects.
  • Will be trained on LEAN methods within the print department.


  • Understand completely all company policies, procedures, standards, guidelines and training programs.
  • Coordinate, implement and enforce standard operating procedures / work instructions for print operations.
  • Ensure familiarity with the companies Health, Safety & Environmental policies and comply with employee responsibilities.
