Our client is a leading manufacturer of presentational / promotional products, point of sale and packaging based in the West Midlands and they are currently looking to recruit two dynamic and driven Sales / Key Account Managers to join their successful team.

As a Sales / Key Account Manager the role will require delivery of specific Sales and Profit figures that form an important part of the annual sales targets. The role will focus on the development of sectors and customers that are of significant importance to the business in the future and that build on the base already established.

The ideal candidate will be from a Presentation / Promotional Products / POS or Packaging background. For the Northern based role you can be based from Birmingham upwards and for the Southern role Birmingham downwards.

Responsibilities:

  • To significantly develop the Company's business and presence in the marketplace
  • To secure new business and develop co-operative and productive business relationships with current and new Direct Key Accounts
  • To ensure that the service and attention given to customers is appropriate to their type, volume and potential
  • Achieve/ exceed targeted Sales and Profit targets on a consistent basis
  • Hit targeted new business gains in the designated market areas on a consistent basis
  • Cover your targeted sector effectively and efficiently focusing on productivity
  • Achieve all calls per day/ month targets and implement fully the Company's Sales Call standards at all times
  • Ensure that all reportage requested and administrative standards on CRM/ follow up are completed at all times
  • Demonstrate a high level of account management skill at all times developing productive and profitable account relationships
  • Gain sufficient knowledge of customer targets to enable effective presentations at all times
  • Be a constant source of new ideas to the business

Requirements:

  • Educated to minimum 'A' level standard minimum
  • Successful sales career to date as a Key Account Manager or National Account Manager
  • Self-motivated with a desire to succeed
  • A skilled presenter who can influence effectively
  • Willingness to keep going strong despite turndowns
  • A team player also equipped with the will to win
  • Good verbal and numerical skills and a good communicator
