SALES MANAGER / KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER SCOTLAND - NON-MANAGEMENT

Our client is a large, independent manufacturer of bespoke corrugated cardboard packaging, supplying FCMG and Engineering markets. Our client is looking to recruit a Sales / Key Account Manager to join their business
The role will be approx. 80% office based and 20% visiting customers and the successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of approx. £4million including four Key Accounts and a number of smaller accounts
Our client is looking for a strong candidate from a Corrugated or Solid board background who is self-motivated and can hit the ground running
Responsibilities:
- To support, guide and develop existing clients and provide a point of contact locally
- Working closely with the internal sales department at the company's headquarters and the production team at the factory in Glasgow
- You will be liaising with customers, the internal sales team, design department and production department with the aim of ensuring that customers receive accurate, fit for purpose, prompt and sometimes inventive responses to their requirements
- There will be a high level of telephone, email-based customer interaction and an element of face to face also
Key Duties
- To build strong relationships across the existing customer base
- To respond quickly and efficiently to customer requests
- To offer support to internal sales as and when necessary
- To manage some existing accounts independently, controlling stock replenishment and aged stock rotation
- To review the company sales intake and highlight any work that is loss making on an ongoing basis
- To develop new opportunities and prospects in line with the wider company's growth
