Our client is a multinational manufacturer specialising in plastic packaging solutions for the pharmaceutical, construction, and food market sectors. Currently seeking a Sector Sales Manager to manage and grow business within one of these key sectors in the UK & Ireland. This field-based role offers an exciting opportunity to inherit existing business and proactively develop new accounts.

As a Sales Manager, you will be a crucial member of the UK external sales team, responsible for the sale of multiuse plastic packaging and related products. You will report to the Sales Director and focus on generating sustained sales revenue growth by engaging with both existing and potential customers within your geographical region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales revenue growth from existing customers and new business leads through research, engagement, qualification, and delivery.
  • Maintain and develop strong relationships with internal and external customers, ensuring complete satisfaction.
  • Adopt a transparent, proactive, and collaborative approach to address and resolve customer challenges.
  • Conduct face-to-face engagements with existing customers and potential new clients as part of your weekly schedule.
  • Introduce and reiterate the benefits of their product range, including standard and bespoke solutions, to pre-qualify and define future sales opportunities.
  • Convert pre-qualified leads and customer inquiries into sales opportunities within the company CRM system.
  • Collaborate with internal sales and design teams to develop and present costed product solutions that meet specific customer design requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Confident and professional communicator, proficient in verbal, written, and face-to-face presentations.
  • Highly organised with a structured approach to networking, market research, and lead generation.
  • Proven success in a direct selling role, preferably within related packaging industries.
  • Experience with both short and long cycle project sales and maintaining stakeholder engagement.
  • Practical experience with CRM systems such as Microsoft FastTrack 360.
