SOUTHERN FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER - HOMEBASED

They are looking to recruit a flexible and team-oriented Field Service Engineer to support their customers across the South of the UK. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, a proactive approach to service, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a Southern territory, maintaining all systems through an organised visit schedule and proactive callouts
  • Promote the full range of products and solutions within the territory
  • Coordinate and deliver a regional preventative maintenance programme for all systems
  • Plan and manage time effectively across the region to achieve business objectives
  • Demonstrate correct system usage and advise customers on preventative maintenance best practices
  • Project-manage the delivery and implementation of ergonomic or workflow-improving solutions
  • Represent the business professionally at all times
  • Provide product demonstrations, training, and application support to customers and colleagues
  • Conduct Risk Assessments and produce Method Statements for customer installations
  • Maintain accurate records of service activities, system movements, and ensure timely submission to the office
  • Carry out all tasks in alignment with business priorities and operational requirements
  • Test and commission systems prior to installation
  • Manage stock levels of machines and spare parts, ensuring adequate inventory is maintained on the vehicle

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a field-based engineering role
  • Ideally qualified to HNC/HND level in electrical engineering or equivalent, or apprentice trained
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems (including single and three-phase)
  • Able to prioritise effectively, manage multiple tasks, maintain attention to detail, and analyse and resolve technical issues
  • Capable of handling all customer interactions with discretion, professionalism, and sensitivity to individual needs
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Willing to travel within the UK and occasionally within Europe, including some overnight stays
