Our client is a leading manufacturer of high-quality injection moulded plastic products, specialising in innovative food packaging solutions. Commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction drives their success, and they are looking for a proactive Technical Sales Manager to join their team.
Job Description: As a Technical Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales and expanding market presence within the food packaging sector. Your technical expertise in injection moulded plastics, combined with your sales acumen, will enable you to effectively communicate the value of products to clients and develop strong business relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve company sales targets and expand the customer base within the food packaging industry.
  • Identify and engage with potential clients and build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to clients, helping them understand the benefits and applications of particular injection moulded plastic products.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to ensure customer requirements are met and to provide feedback on product development.
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and potential opportunities.
  • Prepare and present detailed proposals, quotes, and contracts to clients.
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote company products and network with potential clients.
  • Monitor sales performance, prepare regular reports, and adjust strategies as needed to achieve sales goals.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a technical sales role, preferably within the injection moulded plastics industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of food packaging solutions and industry standards.
  • Strong technical background with the ability to understand and communicate complex technical information effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred.
