THERMAL LAMINATOR HERTFORDSHIRE

Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

My client is a leading Print manufacturer, with an impressive plant list covering Printing, Finishing, Laminating and Folding in-house!

They are looking to recruit a skilled Thermal Laminator Operator to run their Autobond Mini laminating machine. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating thermal lamination equipment, ensuring high-quality output while maintaining efficiency and production targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate an Autobond Mini Thermal Laminator to laminate printed materials to a high standard. (Experience on other Thermal Laminators will be considered)
  • Set up, adjust, and monitor the machine to ensure optimal performance and output.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting minor mechanical issues to minimise downtime.
  • Ensure quality control by inspecting laminated materials for defects such as bubbles, creases, or misalignment.
  • Handle film rolls, adjust tension, and change materials as required.
  • Work efficiently to meet production deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
  • Keep the work area clean and organised, adhering to health & safety standards.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure smooth workflow and communication.
  • Follow company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience operating a thermal laminating machine, preferably an Autobond Mini.
  • Understanding of lamination techniques, machine settings, and quality control processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to spot defects or inconsistencies.
  • Ability to troubleshoot minor machine issues and perform basic maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Experience working in the print or packaging industry.
