They have a current requirement for a Business Development Manager in the UK who is someone with a passion for sales, has a self-starter mentality and is persistent in reaching goals.

The Role:

  • To generate sales of flexible packaging solutions in the retail market by acquiring new clients.
  • Support and expand the product ranges within existing and new customers.
  • Identifying new business opportunities within the retail market, including new markets, new clients, new partnerships, or new products and services.
  • Creating sales forecasts and strategies and actively working towards achieving them.
  • Attending conferences and events to build relationships with industry partners and staying up to date with new trends.
  • Assisting the Key Account Directors and Sales Managers in all aspects of account management.

The Profile:

  • Proven track record in account management or developing and maintaining new business in B2B, preferably with a background in packaging but also from competitive, high repeat consumable products or services.
  • Comfortable working with targets and KPIs.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to adapt to different situations.
  • The ability to listen and interpret customer requirements.
  • A resilient self-starter with a focus on results.
  • Comfortable presenting and negotiating at all levels, from shopfloor to boardroom.
  • An understanding of the manufacturing process would be an advantage.
  • An enquiring and analytical approach to problem-solving.
